Big Cats (of TTxBC) has just released an album many months (maybe years) in the making. With a grant from the McKnight Foundation, (the first Hip Hop related project they have ever been involved with) Big Cats wrote and arranged Motown-inspired songs for session players and vocalists, then chopped up and rearranged them into brand new songs, free of any samples or synths. This was all for his mother, who recently passed away from Ovarian Cancer, inspiring Big Cats to donate 75% of the proceeds to the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance. This is all to say watch the video below, as Big Cats is joined by a 15 piece band live in studio at the Current to perform track Six.
